The Rock Confirms that Jumanji 3 is Officially Underway…

umanji: Welcome to the Jungle was a surprise hit from late 2017, and Sony is confident enough to work on a sequel already.

Sony took a bit of a risk a few years back by announcing a Jumanji sequel/reboot was coming. There was a growing fatigue and negativity surrounding any reboots, and with The Rock attached, it had one of Hollywood’s most prolific stars.

And the hardest working man in Hollywood, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirms that the sequel is officially underway, and he also teases the return of all the main cast members.

It is worth noting that the original ending for Jumanji 2 would have had the game move into the mobile app service, and the main kids would be visiting Jumanji regularly via their phones.

There was also supposed to be an alternate ending where Spencer (The Rock) decides to stay in Jumanji, but Spencer was persuaded to leave.

The feeling of satisfaction it left audience with was proven time and time again as Welcome to the Jungle climbed the box office charts. It has now became Sony’s biggest movie ever domestically, and is nearing $1 billion worldwide

Jumanji 3 is set to come out late 2019.
