For all you fans out there, the best Kevin Smith, Jay & Silent Bob, Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, Jersey Girl, Clerks II …
Those stoners just keep on rocking…
Back in 2017, Kevin Smith announced he was working on a new Jay and Silent Bob movie titled Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and today the first trailer for the film dropped online (thanks, Comic-Con!).
The plot of the film is perfectly designed for the current Reboot era we live in and centers on Smith and Jason Mewes’s characters as they “embark on another cross-country mission” to try to stop a Hollywood reboot of their own movie from getting made.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are back together for the new trailer to Kevin Smith‘s upcoming film. The two actors made brief appearances in the trailer for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot starring Smith, 48, and Jason Mewes.
The two characters have appeared in almost every Smith film since 1994’s Clerks.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is a sequel to 2001’s Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but also to every film Smith has made from Chasing Amy, Mallrats and Dogma.
Affleck, 46, seemingly reprises his role as Holden from Chasing Amy, while Damon, 48, seemingly returns as Loki from Dogma. Affleck also played Shannon Hamilton in Mallrats.
The trailer is also packed with new and returning Kevin Smith collaborators including Jason Lee, Rosario Dawson, Shannon Elizabeth, Chris Hemsworth (in hologram form), Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek, Fred Armisen, Method Man, Craig Robinson, Redman, and tons more.
The film will screen in select theaters on October 15 and 17, then Smith and Mewes will take the film on The Jay and Silent Bob Reboot Roadshow tour beginning October 20.
Word on the worldwide release is a bit sketchy at the moment, but Culturedemandsgeeks guess if the new film does well, then it’ll hit New Zealand’s shores sometime in November.
Smith will likely reveal some more details about the film during his Comic-Con panel this weekend, so sit back, roll a blunt, and relax until more news trickles in.
