The Defenders: The Entire First Season Will Take Place In 48 Hours!!!

The Defenders will only be taking place in a short amount of time, but we never really got the specifics of the details. As it turns out, the story for Marvel Netflix’s first superhero team-up will only take place in a mere 2 days.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team up to fight crime in New York City.

Not only will the timeline of The Defenders be incredibly short, but the series is also set to have the least number of episodes in a Marvel Netflix show. Where all the other shows have gotten 13 episodes, Defenders will only come up with eight.

As to the reason why we’re only getting 8 episodes, I’m guessing that the budget for each one is probably twice that of a single episode in a regular series. Whether that money went to the star-studded cast or special effects, I’m just happy to enjoy a good piece of television.

A lot of fans are actually quite happy that we’ll be getting a shorter number of episodes since it would let the series quickly move forward with the plot instead of having to stretch out an entire story to fill in the time. This was one of the most common complaints for when it comes to other series, so it won’t be that bad of an idea after all. Not to mention, Game of Thrones is also getting a shorter number of episodes out this year.

It’s quality over quantity I guess.
