Rick and Morty is getting a season four… and probably a season five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten too.
Fans got more good news than they could have possibly hoped for on Thursday (May 10) when co-creator Justin Roiland announced on Twitter that he would be making 70 more episodes of the cult animated series.
With the last few episodes of season 3 setting the stage for future adventures, fans have been eager for news on the future of the series since the season 3 finale aired in October 2017. That future has remained fairly uncertain until now, though, with Adult Swim and the show’s creators — Roiland and Dan Harmon — suggesting for months that another season isn’t a lock for the series.

For fact fans out there, Rick and Morty‘s current episode count stands at 31 for three seasons, meaning that the Adult Swim show will be on the air for a very, very long time to come.
And although the animated series is often perceived as having a niche audience, it’s actually one of the top-performing shows on television.
