New Pics of New Jaegers from Pacific Rim: Uprising

John Boyega in Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018)

Hi folks, if you like your mech robots large and your monsters even larger then step right up for the first new images involving the new Jaegers who will be nuking it out with the kaijus in Pacific Rim: Uprising – Follow-up to Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Pacific Rim’, have made it to the internet.

More beastie fights, folks!

No names for these three giant robots yet, although one has a certain similarity with GIpsy Danger of the first movie.

The Pacific Rim website which posted the images said that Legendary Studios had been circulating them among licensors for promotional purposes. License! Global was the first to publish the images. Very little else about the movie has been released, and one of the rare pics that came out was tweeted by star John Boyega.

With this cast, Pacific Rim 2 is poised to rule the world: More kaiju, more giant robots, more EVERYTHING…

With John Boyega (Finn from Star Wars: The Force Awakens) joining the team as the son of Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba). That means Mako Maki has a brother! Will she be drifting with Boyega’s character? We have no idea but it’s great to dream!

lead actor John Boyega fleeing what looks to be a fallen Jaeger cockpit from on-set in Sydney Australia! The images give a fantastic and detailed look at Boyega’s Jaeger Pilot suit as well as some of the set design for his Jaeger.

Eastwood Jnr looking a little bit dazed: fight with a huge monster, maybe?

Scott Eastwood has been spotted in Jaeger Pilot armor on the set of Pacific Rim: Uprising (Pacific Rim 2) during filming in Sydney Australia! The armor he’s wearing matches the design and color of John Boyega’s Jaeger Pilot armor, which leads us to suspect the two pilot the same Jaeger.

Check the table of other fantastic actors who will be riding the mammoth film to a cinma ‘near you’ in 2018 out below!

Also, Director Steven DeKnight is doing a fine job of maintaining hype by means of teasing photos from the film’s set periodically. While most mainstream outlets have missed out on a number of previous set photo releases, we have not and tonight DeKnight has provided us with yet another look at the making of Pacific Rim: Uprising!

The shot below clearly shows the iconic PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) logo surrounded by warning text reading “Restricted Area,  Authorized Personnel Only”, however part of the fencing and sign have been destroyed. It almost looks as if something or someone emitted a high amount of heat to the fence and burned a circular hole through it. Could this mean someone breaks into the PPDC headquarters? Or is it the result of a Jaeger and Kaiju battle at the base, with burning Jaeger parts flying about and destroying some of the installation? Have a look and let us know your best guess at what’s going on, in the comments section!

It’s safe to assume that more images will emerge as the Feb. 23, 2018 release date of Pacific Rim: Uprising nears as Director: Steven S. DeKnight puts ‘his’ finishing touches to the next movie.            .

How do you feel about these new mechs? Culturedemandsgeeks mind is overloading at the though of another giant fight off between the heavy weights. Think you are strong enough to take a kaiju on? then post and share…
