MATT GROENING’S DISENCHANTMENT DROPS FIRST FULL TRAILER…

The reveals just keep coming for SDCC 2018, and now Netflix has dropped the first full trailer for Matt Groening’s Disenchantment.

If you’re curious on why the music in the trailer is familiar, it’s a medieval-themed cover of David Bowie’s Rebel Rebel.

We don’t have an official synopsis for the series yet, but it’s said to focus on a character named Princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson) and her adventures in Dreamland. Along for the ride are her friends Luci the demon (Eric Andre) and Elfo the elf (Nat Faxon).

It’s also worth noting that other veterans of Groening’s work also have guest appearances in the show. For one, John DiMaggio (Bender from Futurama) voices Princess Bean’s father.

With the shows under his belt becoming pop-culture icons, Matt Groening has always found success with the shows that he’s developed, what with The Simpsons and Futurama becoming staples in pop-culture.

We don’t know where Disenchantment will fall in his legacy, but I’m sure everyone who loves television will be willing to give it a try.

Hopefully Disenchantment finds its way to the hearts of audiences much like The Simpsons and Futurama.

Catch Disenchantment on Netflix when it starts streaming Aug. 17.
