Luke Cage third season cancelled…

First, Iron Fist tumbled. Second, Luke Cage followed, and it seems Super Hero series are falling at an incredible rate this week alone.

It looks like Heroes For Hire is not happening anytime in the future. Marvel and Netflix have decided to cancel Luke Cage just one week after the Iron Fist cancellation.

Marvel and Netflix released a joint statement confirming that the series will not be renewed.

“Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series,” the statement read.

This is truly a shocking move for the streaming service. After all, it has only been one week since Disney and Netflix decided to cancel Iron Fist.

It is still unclear why Marvel and Netflix decided to cancel Luke Cage and Iron Fist. There are speculations that it might have something to do with low ratings and high production costs. Others believe that the streaming service has been simply unsure of how to continue with the two shows.

There have been no updates yet on what Marvel and Netflix plan to do with Jessica Jones. In the meantime, Daredevil Season 3 is currently available for streaming. Needless to say, (Culturedemandsgeeks wonder, will Disney start making and streaming their own adaptations of the popular hero’s on their own streaming service?).
