The amazingly talented Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tony Award-winning and Academy Award nominated actor, playwright, and composer of such incredible Broadway shows as Hamilton and In the Heights and Walt Disney Animation’s Moana, is joining the cast of Disney XD’s upcoming DuckTales series! This is the best news ever, and we will be singing, “Woo-oo” all day long!

The new DuckTales will be launching later this year and, includes an amazing cast. Lin-Manuel Miranda will be playing Gizmoduck, a Duckburg hero whose true identity is Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, a brilliant young intern working for Scrooge McDuck’s personal mad scientist, Gyro Gearloose. The character has been reimagined as a young scientist with Latin-inspired roots. We can’t wait for Lin-Manuel to charm us all by saying his signature line, “BLATHERING BLATHERSKITE!” Take a look at the all-new Gizmoduck:

The next wave of DuckTales adventures with Scrooge McDuck (David Tennant), his grandnephews Huey (Danny Pudi), Dewey (Ben Schwartz), and Louie (Bobby Moynihan), and Donald Duck. We can also expect to watch Webby Vanderquack (Kate Micucci), Launchpad McQuack (Beck Bennet), and Mrs. Beakley (Toks Olagundoye) join the high-flying shenanigans that will surely ensue in the updated comedy-adventure series. It’s going to be glorious.
