KAIJU WRECKAGE: SET PHOTOS FROM GODZILLA 2

You can’t expect Godzilla to pass through a city quietly, especially when this kaiju’s fighting against other behemoths like King Ghidorah, Rodan and Mothra.

With production on monster movie sequel  Godzilla”King of Monsters underway, the first leaked photos from the set have been captured – showcasing the destruction that the world’s most famous monster and his kaiju foes will wrought upon the set.

The sequel to the 2014 reboot by Rogue One director Gareth Edwards, King of the Monsters will pit Godzilla and the secret Monarch organization, and with the cast and crew working hard at bringing the next monster movie in Legendary’s MonsterVerse to the big screen,  sneaky fans manage to find a way to get a few pictures of the movie’s production online.

Posted by the fan page Gormaru Island, fans get to see a few distant images of the upcoming Godzilla movie’s set in Atlanta Georgia with a lot of wreckage littering the pictures. Based on all turned-over cars and the uprooted trees, it seems like the production has been filming the aftermath of a kaiju attack.

The fan page also goes on to describe what they noticed on set:

“According to bystanders and witnesses, there were a lot of thunderous noises, booms, and monster sounds emitting around the location. With cars turned over, flames roaring, and with debris scattered everywhere. And clearly from the glimpses of the set, it must have been quite the night!

Also from a Denver Comic Con Millie Bobby Brown panel, Millie Bobby Brown herself was on set for filming during night shoot. Also according to her; she and the director love pulling pranks and have joined forces in pranking the cast. Though their next target this week is being kept secret ;)Hahaha.”

Of course with so many Kaiju gathered around, it’s hard not to expect a trampled city, however the thought of Godzilla having a showdown with classic monsters like Ghidorah is absolutely exciting and we wonder how the whole thing will look in the big screen.
