Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Gets An Official And International Trailer

Like promised, Sony has dropped a trailer giving us our first look at the Jumanji sequel, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. What I didn’t expect, however, was that we were going to get two trailers—one official and another international.

In retrospect, Sony did the same thing for Spider-Man: Homecoming, so it shouldn’t really be that big of a surprise. Going back to the trailer, it actually does look like a bit of fun, and I’m sure kids will love it when it comes out.

Here’s the synopsis:

In the brand new adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji.  When they discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.

What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji –Jumanji plays you.  They’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they’ll be stuck in the game forever…

Maybe bringing the audience into the world was the best way to make the movie feel different from the original. You can’t just reboot a film like Jumanji without any backlash. The dislike bar on Youtube is almost as long as the likes one.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle comes out Dec. 20.
