GOOD OMENS CAST GETS FATTER AS MORE WONDERFUL ACTORS JOIN THE BBC’s ADVENTURE…

Devoted fans of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens will be pleased to know that production on Amazon and BBC’s  adaptation of the novel has begun in London. To commemorate the beginning of filming, Gaiman (who also wrote the scripts for the adaptation) shared a photo of stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen on set.

Tennant portrays demon Crowley, with Sheen as angel Aziraphale. The novel takes place as the apocalypse approaches, with Crowley and Aziraphale, having grown accustomed to their settings in England, “misplacing” the Antichrist to delay the inevitable End Times.

Also on set was Rob Wilkins, personal assistant to the late Terry Pratchett, tweeting some photos of his own.

Daniel Mays, Sian Brooke and Sam Taylor Buck have been added to the already-huge cast of Good Omens…

The adaptation of Good Omens, a collaborative novel written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, is heading to the small screen at a brisk pace, and some more major characters have now been cast.

The BBC press office announced this morning that wee unknown Sam Taylor Buck will be Adam Young, the reluctant antichrist, and that Line Of Duty‘s Daniel Mays and Sherlock‘s Sian Brooke will play his parents, Arthur and Deidre Young.

“Beyond overjoyed to be jumping on board Good Omens,” Daniel Mays said in a statement. “It’s not everyday you get to play the father of the antichrist! Neil Gaiman’s scripts are out of this world and the cast they’ve assembled are second to none.
