Culturedemandsgeeks loves READY PLAYER ONE, so much than our own family that we have the first photo from Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One for your eyes to gaze upon!

The snap, giving us our first look at Wade Wats a.k.a. Parzival (Tye Sheridan). Below, EW released the photo of the protagonist his VR visor and haptic gloves as he’s logged into the virtual world of OASIS. It’s cool that the actor who played Cyclops in X-Men: Apocalypse is wearing a visor once again, and who knows?

With the novel filled with so many Easter eggs, they might include a reference to that in the film. Wade is in his “hideout”, which is an old van where he puts his most prized possessions.

It looks like the film is staying true to its source material, Ernie Cline’s novel of the same title. Hopefully, they’ll reveal the first footage at SDCC Comic-Con next month! Can’t wait!

Ready Player One stars Tye Sheridan as Wade Watts, a.k.a. Parzival, who finds himself competing in an Easter Egg hunt set in a virtual world against ruthless enemies called The Sixers after the game’s founder (Mark Rylance) dies and offers his fortune as the grand prize.
