Warner Bros. Working On A Watchmen Reboot For HBO…
While Zack Snyder’s Watchmen film adaptation received pretty polarized reviews from fans and critics when it released back in 2009, when it comes to Superhero films, Watchmen stands ‘head and shoulders’ above the rest. Even if it’s just for the unique style!

But, Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon’s compelling DC comic book series remains as one of the best in the industry. The only comic book recognized by Time as one of The 100 Best Novels in publication since 1923, the critically acclaimed series is now getting its own television adaptation on HBO.
Now we come to Warner Bros. who are working on a reboot for Watchmen on HBO, putting Leftovers showrunner Damon Lindeloff in the upcoming series’ directorial seat.
Unlike Snyders film, the Watchmen TV show has been marked as an entirely new reinvention of the Moore’s comics.
A story used to parody the superhero concept and criticize society, the Watchmen television series that was loosely inspired by Charlton Comics library characters would fit perfectly on HBO with its dark and heavy theme. This is the network’s second attempt at producing a show for the series, the first attempt starting out in 2014.
Though Snyder’s film has gained quite a following over the years, it seems like fans may flock to HBO’s television adaptation. There’s no release date for the Watchmen television series just yet, but we’ll keep everyone posted as soon as we get word.
