Well done Netflix, thinking outside the bow, err, well… we mean Castle, with an animated Castlevania series getting its very first animated series this year.
According to a report by IGN, Netflix has just announced its new platter of premiere date reveals and in the process the online streaming service has also revealed that season 1 part 1 of Castlevania would be made available to subscribers this year.
Though Netflix has not given any specific release date for the animated adaptation of Konami’s dark fantasy-themed action-adventure videogame franchise, a description of Castlevania season 1 part 1 reveals to fans that the series will put the spotlight on the Belmon clan, as it tells the story of “the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.”
Castlevania is a four part series with episodes approximated at a 30-minute runtime each. The show is written by Warren Ellis and animated by Fred Seibert’s Frederator Studios. There aren’t a lot of details on the story of the series just yet, so excited fans will have to hunker down and wait till Netflix releases more information on the series.
What do you folks think out in the Castlevania world, interested in the project, can’t wait for it to hit your sceens?
