Big Bang Theory: Sheldon and the ‘one’ ring? and Kaley Cuoco holidaying in NZ!

A great deal of the focus over the years on The Big Bang Theory has been on the relationships of the main characters. But one of the most surprisingly sweet romances on the show is the one that developed between Sheldon and Amy.

Sheldon hardly seemed like a character who could open himself up to showing physical affection or any kind of emotion, let alone falling in love, but the season 8 finale revealed that Sheldon had an engagement ring ready to go was proof that he was willing to take they’re relationship to another level.

Skip to season 10, and the show has progressed for Sheldon and Amy’s – romance. They moved into Penny’s old apartment, and Sheldon even gave up scheduling bathroom time and refusing to share a toothbrush holder (s huge step as we all know!) with his lady love. So, engagement does seem like the natural next step, but I guess the future and that engagement ring will be a while.

Given how Sheldon and Amy have been shown as the ideal mates for each other, we can probably count on The Big Bang Theory intending that Shamy will be a romantic endgame (fingers crossed). If that’s the case, then this will be the only time that viewers will see Amy starting a new life with somebody and Sheldon compromising on bathroom time with anybody!

Of course, Sheldon has shown a willingness to rush to one particular milestone. A Season 10 episode actually featured Sheldon trying to seduce Amy in the hopes of creating a genius baby with both of their DNA.

The humour in this stage of their relationship hasn’t gotten stale, so even the biggest Shamy fans may not be too upset by ‘show-runner’ Steve Molaro’s admission that wedding bells won’t be ringing for Sheldon and Amy any time soon.

The Big Bang Theory is currently on the lowdown at the moment. Expect the show will return to the airwaves in February 2017.
